Allowed Radio Mics on NBA Players

According to the NBA, all broadcasters are allowed to mic NBA Players, but are only allowed to use the QT-5100 PlayerMic® from Q5X. These transmitters have been specifically designed for NBA players to wear in their jerseys during games. The body packs are rubber, sweat resistant, flexible, and only .43 of an inch thick, so they will not injure the player, even if they fall on them or take a direct hit.

RCAS™ – Remote Control Audio System™

The QT-5100 PlayerMic® works with the revolutionary RCAS™ (Remote Control Audio System). to control; on/off, monitor the status and battery level, and make on-the-fly adjustments of frequency, microphone gain and transmitter grouping, all wirelessly without bothering the players. An audio tech can make changes from a QG-H1 remote hand control or a PC running MicControl Software, through RCAS™ QG-N3 gateways using a 2.4GHz control channel.
