‘Year of The Thingy’ – Premiere of The 6th Thingy by Daniel Hutchings

Join Daniel Hutchings as he attempts to host a matinee screening of a NEW THINGY! Expect a feature film and some tales of Thingyness in an exciting mix of screen comedy and live performance.

In 2024, Daniel Hutchings began screening his five feature-length art comedies, or Thingys, for the general public in Manchester to see if he could increase his audience numbers. Finding a home at The Eagle Inn in Salford, Hutchings documented who came to his Thingy events and what they thought of them. '2024: The Year of The Thingy' captures the audience reactions, and the growing group of Thingy Fans, to all five of Daniel Hutchings' Thingys across the year. Find out who came when it premieres as part of The Greater Manchester Fringe on July 31st in a Thingy Fan Member's event.
